The Township of Uxbridge said it has reported what is claims is an unauthorized third party website which is falsely presenting itself as the official website for the Uxbridge Santa Claus Parade and promoting sponsorship opportunities.
The township said it is actively addressing this matter; its legal team has been engaged, and Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) have been notified.
Any legitimate fundraising or sponsorship opportunities in support of the Uxbridge Santa Claus Parade will be communicated through the township’s official channels, it said.
“The Township of Uxbridge is not affiliated with this entity in any way. The township organizes and hosts the Uxbridge Santa Claus Parade, and members of the public are advised that all official information regarding the parade is communicated only through the township’s official channels, including the township website at www.uxbridge.ca, the township’s social media channels, and the township’s event email address at events@uxbridge.ca.
