Female pedestrian hit, taken to trauma center

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday reported a collision in Ajax in which a woman was seriously injured.

It said members of the DRPS West Division responded to a serious collision involving a pedestrian. Female victim was transported to a local hospital and was later taken to a trauma center with serious injuries.

The incident happened near Monarch Avenue and Charlton Cr. Police said the area was closed for some time for the collision investigation.

It said more information will follow, but no further details were released till late last night.
