Construction will not be stopping and will be proceeding as scheduled during the Fiesta Week in Oshawa.
Major transportation upgrades are underway across Oshawa, including work on Simcoe Street South, Wilson Road South, and Park Road South, apart from the widening works on Highway 401. These projects are led and scheduled by Metrolinx and the Ministry of Transportation and not Oshawa, said a city statement.
It said during the Fiesta Week, detours will be in place; but participating pavilions and all nearby businesses will remain open.
