An additional seven charges have been laid against restaurateur after four new victims came forward, according to Durham Police.
In January, members of Central West Criminal Investigation Bureau commenced an investigation into the owner of the restaurant located at Brock Street North in Whitby. A victim had come forward with allegations of a sexual nature, that the owner had touched the victim inappropriately in the workplace. The suspect was charged with sexual assault.
An additional four victims have come forward with allegations of a sexual nature against the suspect, dating between 2005 to 2019. The suspect often goes by the name “Chef Chad” or “Chad”, and was previously employed at an Oshawa restaurant.
The 55-year old from Whitby is charged and was released on an undertaking.
Investigators want to ensure there are no further victims.
