Warrant for man who drove out of police net at gas station

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) is still looking for a 29-year-old male who fled from the police early March.

Police said a warrant is now sought for the man with no fixed address, for seven offences.

On March 3 at about 7:30 pm, the suspect was driving along Dundas Street in Whitby, with number plates that did not belong to the vehicle.

The vehicle stopped at a gas stattion and officers attended the scene. The man provided a false name and locked himself in his vehicle.

He then drove in an erratic manner in the parking lot and fled from the police, said the statement.
