A Durham Police officer was bitten while placing a 33-year-old female under arrest on Thursday night in Whitby.
On March 9, members from Central West were called to a residence on Charles Street for a possible break and enter in progress.
A female was located in an intoxicated state while banging on the windows of the residence. She resisted officers who were placing her under arrest. During the struggle, she bit one officer, said a poloce statement.
The officer was treated for a minor injury.
The female, age 33 of Whitby, was charged and released on an undertaking.
