The Municipality of Clarington is urging residents and visitors to shop local this holiday season – and is offering parking for free in the “beautiful historic” downtown of Bowmanville.
The parking meters have been turned off for December, and the paid parking lots offer free courtesy parking, allowing shoppers easy access to local stores and restaurants, said a municipal statement.
The exception is the King Street lot, which continues to have a two-hour maximum.
