GO Alert: No trains from Pickering to Union on the weekend

Lakeshore East rail service will be modified to accommodate critical track work aimed at improving speed and frequency across the network, according to Metrolinx.

Starting late Friday, March 21, until service ends on Sunday, March 23, trains will run only between Pickering GO and Durham College Oshawa GO, operating every 30 minutes. GO shuttle buses will be available at Pickering GO station, running express to Union Station Bus Terminal.

Metrolinx advises that there will be no GO Transit service at Danforth, Scarborough, Eglinton, Guildwood, and Rouge Hill GO stations. Passengers traveling to and from these stations are encouraged to use local transit options.

GO Bus connection times may be adjusted, and passengers should expect longer than usual wait times. Metrolinx encourages passengers to sign up for On the GO Alerts to receive real-time updates regarding schedule changes, delays, or disruptions.

Regular service will resume on Monday, March 24. For more information about Lakeshore East service adjustments and alternate route options, please click here.
