Group home woman worker charged for sex assault on minor

A woman who worked at a group home in Oshawa has been accused of sexual assault on a 13-year old boy.

In February, investigators with the DRPS Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a female staff member who reportedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy several times at a group home in Oshawa.

Further investigation revealed that between September 2025 and January 2026 the suspect engaged the victim in a sexual relationship.

On Wednesday, June 24, investigators concluded their investigation and took the suspect into custody without incident.

Police have concerns there may be further victims. A photo of the accused is attached and can be viewed at www.drps.ca.

The 30-year old from Clarington was charged and released on an undertaking.

Anyone with information about this or similar incidents is asked to contact D/Cst. Brown of the Special Victims Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5318.
