Heavy police presence in Clarington, armed person arrested

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following an investigation in Courtice.

Yesterday, police responded to reports of an armed person in the area of Daiseyfield Avenue and Firwood Avenue. The suspect was contained in a residence before being taken into custody.

Authorities have maintained a police presence in the area while investigating the incident. Further updates are expected as the situation develops, police said.
