Missing 55-year-old patient from Ontario Shores found safe

Durham Police said the 55-year-old male missing from Ontario Shores has been located safe and sound.

An alert was issued after the missing male was last seen on the afternoon of Saturday, November 9, leaving Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences located at 700 Gordon Street, in Whitby.

He was believed to be on foot and may be in the Toronto area, police said.

Police had safety concerns with the man being away from the facility.

He was described as a black male, 55 years old, approximately 5’8” tall, with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black toque with white writing, a black vest, a white and black zip-up sweater under the vest, white pants, and white shoes. He is carrying a blue backpack.
