The City of Oshawa is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2024. In anticipation of this milestone, city staff and the Community Centennial Committee are currently seeking feedback from Oshawa residents and businesses on how the city could celebrate this once-in-a-century occasion.
Community members are invited to visit Connect Oshawa (www.ConnectOshawa.ca/100anniversary) to complete an online feedback form. The feedback will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete, and will be open until noon on November 17, 2021, said a city statement.
Those who participate may be eligible to win a $100 city recreation credit which can be used towards virtual and in-person programs, fitness memberships, and admission fees. Full prize conditions and details are available at www.oshawa.ca/100yearfeedback. Community members who prefer to complete the feedback form on paper are asked to call Service Oshawa at 905-436-3311 during regular business hours.
“Oshawa will be celebrating a significant milestone in 2024,” said Mayor Dan Carter. “I encourage everyone to share their thoughts with the Community Centennial Committee on how this momentous occasion can be celebrated, and remembered in the years to come.”
