Human remains discovered in northern Durham

DRPS Homicide investigators were called out to a rural area after human remains were discovered in a small body of water in Uxbridge.

On Tuesday, May 10, at about  2:40 pm, members of North Division were called to the area of Uxbridge Concession Road 6 and Allbright Road after a citizen located human remains in a small body of water in a rural area. Forensic Investigators were called to assist and a post mortem will be conducted to determine more details about the deceased.

Police are urging any witnesses who may have information to assist investigators to come forward. Members of our Public Safety Unit will be attending the scene to search for any evidence in this matter.
