Is there a road in Durham where 160+ is allowed?

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday again cautioned drivers to obey speed limits after a motorist was clocked at well over 160kmh.

There is not a single road in Region of Durham where 166kmh is acceptable, said the police.

This driver (image above) was stopped by DRPS traffic officers for stunt driving and charged accordingly, it said.

“This type of dangerous behaviour will not be tolerated,” the DRPS warned.

Central West Division officers too urged motorists to “please drive safe on the roads and abide by traffic laws”.

They thanked DRPS Road Safety for doing a great job.

Man hurt in crash

Yesterday two roads had to be closed for collision investigations, said DRPS. These were later reopened.

Brock Road was closed between Webb Road and Allbright Road in Uxbridge for a collision investigation, said an earlier police tweet.

One male has been transported to a Toronto-area hospital with serious injuries. Please consider alternative routes, it said.

Another said Wilson Road South at Bloor Street East in Oshawa was shut down for an ongoing investigation.
