John Grant sworn in as Mayor of Brock

John Grant has been sworn in as Mayor of the Township of Brock after being appointed by the Township of Brock Council.

Yesterday afternoon, council voted unanimously to appoint John Grant as the Mayor of the Township of Brock for the remainder of the 2018-2022 term of council. John Grant attended the Clerk’s office and took his oath of office, said a council statement.

“There is much work to undertake to provide the services expected by the residents of Brock Township and this we will do. This will be accomplished by teamwork with council, staff and the residents of the municipality.” Said Mayor Grant following his oath.

Mayor Grant was the runner up from the 2018 mayoral election. He previously served one term as Mayor for the Township of Brock from 2014-2018. He previously served as Regional Councillor for one term (2006-2010) and one term as Ward 2 Councillor (2003-2006).

“John was very successful in his last term as Mayor, and I am confident that he will provide for the Township of Brock during this term as Mayor.” says Deputy Mayor W.E. Ted Smith.
