Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) Guns and Gangs Unit seized a quantity of drugs and a firearm after executing numerous search warrants throughout the region.
On Thursday, July 13, members of Guns and Gangs, with the assistance of DRPS Tactical Support Unit, Drug Enforcement Unit, Central East Community Response Team, and York Regional Police Tactical Support Unit and Peterborough Police Service Emergency Response Team, concluded an investigation into a male involved in drug trafficking.
Seven search warrants were executed at residences throughout the region, resulting in the seizure of a loaded handgun, a taser, bullet proof vest, more than 1,480 grams of cocaine, more than 15 grams of fentanyl and a quantity of currency and items.
Three suspects from Whitby and one from Oshawa were charged. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
