Traffic restrictions on Salem, Sandy Beach roads for few days

These start today, July 17 until July 28 on Salem Road, and from today until July 19 on Sandy Beach Road. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule, te region said.

Salem Road will be impacted from from Mandrake Street to Achilles Road. Access to eastbound and westbound Highway 401 will be maintained during these restrictions.

Restrictions are required to repave Salem Road due to utility works required for a pending Metrolinx project.

Sandy Beach Road will be closed from the south entrance of the Bay Ridges Kinsmen Park parking lot to Parkham Crescent, with access to the park from Montgomery Park Road.

It will be closed to install a sanitary forcemain. This work is part of a project to construct a second forcemain pipe from Liverpool Road Sanitary Sewer Pumping Station to McKay Road in the City of Pickering. More information is available at durham.ca/LiverpoolForcemain.
