Durham Regional Police Service K-9 Unit has proven invaluable in saving lives of persons suffering mental and suicidal issues.
Sunday night another life was saved by keen K9 Summit who managed to track a person in crisis though heavy woods in the dark.
“Good Boy,” said a tweet from the K9 Unit.
It said during the night, PC Dever, K9 Summit and DRPS Central West Division officers teamed up to track and locate a person in crisis who had wondered into a heavily wooded area.
“After an intense search, Summit located the individual near a creek in dense brush. He was transported to hospital for help,” police said.
