Durham man held for exposing self to minors… released

Durham Police have arrested a male for exposing himself in front of minors in Whitby.

On April 5 at about 4:55 pm, members of Central West Division responded to a sexual offence call in the area of Evergreen Drive and Canadian Oaks Drive.

A male suspect exposed himself and began masturbating in a public area to two female youth. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. One of the youths was able to provide a detail description of the suspect and his vehicle, said a police report.

On Friday, April 19, members of Central West Division along with members from the Criminal Investigation Bureau were able to identify and locate the suspect, where he was taken into custody without incident.

The man, age 30 of Oshawa was charged and was released on an undertaking. Name, photo and further details available at www.drps.ca.

The victims did not sustain any physical injuries, police said. They have concerns there may be other victims and are requesting anyone with information to come forward to investigators.
