There may be more multiple indecent exposure victims: police

Durham Police yesterday said they have arrested a male for exposing himself multiple times in Durham Region.

Police have concerns there may be other victims and are requesting anyone with information to come forward to investigators.

On Tuesday, April 16 at about 7:50 pm, members of East Division responded to a sexual offence call in the area of Hartfield Drive and Varcoe Road, in Courtice.

A male suspect exposed himself in a public area to two female youth while making inappropriate comments. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. The victims did not sustain any physical injuries, said a police report.

On Wednesday, April 24 at around 8:30 pm, members of East Division responded to a sexual offence call in the area of Taunton Road East and Ritson Road North, in Oshawa. A male matching the description of the previous suspect, exposed himself in a public area to a female and her daughter. Police located the suspect a short distance away and took him into custody without incident.

The victims did not sustain any physical injuries.

The suspect, age 27 of No Fixed Address was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name, image and further details available at www.drps.ca.
