Durham Police yesterday said a male is facing charges after threatening and chasing another male with a knife outside a restaurant in Oshawa.
On Saturday, May 11 at about 10:30 pm, members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Athol Street East and Celina Street.
A male attended a local restaurant but was asked to leave by the owner. Once outside the suspect got into an altercation with another male. The suspect revealed a large knife and chased the victim around the parking lot. Police arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody without incident, said a police report.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
The suspect, age 28 from Richmond Hill was charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
