Durham Region is advising residents of lane restrictions on Brock Road in Pickering from September 21 to October 30.
There will be both daytime and overnight lane restrictions. Unfavourable weather conditions may affect the work schedule, the region said.
It said restrictions will begin from 120 metres north of the Williams Jackson Drive and Dersan Street intersection to 230 metres south of the Rex Heath Drive and Zents Drive intersection.
These are needed to facilitate construction for a new development.
The region said it realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete it as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Motorists are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
