Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday reported crashes in Oshawa, Whitby and Ajax which impacted the normal flow of traffic.
Municipal summer road repair works coupled with major Ontario Ministry of Transport, Metrolinx and Region of Durham roadworks have brough up criticism from weary residents (see below).
Oshawa: DRPS reported that Conlin Road at Simcoe Street North in Oshawa had been opened following a collision.
The westbound lanes of Conlin Road at the intersection of Conlin Road and Simcoe Street North had been closed for a collision investigation.
Police had advised road users to find an alternative route.
Whitby: DRPS yesterday said the southbound lanes of Brock Street, south of Rossland Road, in Whitby were closed for a collision investigation.
It advised usage of an alternative route till the road was reopened.
Ajax: DRPS said the area of Elliotglen Drive and Gillet Drive in Ajax was closed for an on-going investigation.
It asked parents of students at Michaëlle Jean Public School to use the south-side of the school to pick-up their children.
There are no public safety concerns, it said.
