Councillor Lisa Robinson posted a video on social media accusing Pickering mayor and CAO of shifting public meetings to a virtual format and banning staff attendance as a distraction tactic.
The video comes as a response to Pickering Mayor Kevin Ashe and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Marisa Carpino, stating that Councillor Lisa Robinson was the reason that city staff will not attend two public meetings (see below).
According to her video (see below), these measures are “designed to obscure accountability and hide a pattern of lies and corruption. This is in response to their latest smear campaign and lies as to why staff will not be attending any meetings for the month of March.”
Robinson states, “This video, along with additional footage, (found in the description of the video) clearly shows how public safety concerns were fabricated to mask political intimidation. It reveals how false narratives are used to rewrite records, silence accountability, and protect those in power at the expense of transparency and the public’s right to know.”
She concluded by urging Pickering residents, “I urge you to review this evidence and help disseminate the truth. Our community deserves to know how our tax dollars are being misused and how backroom deals are being protected.”

If Robinson spent as much time asking staff questions in between meetings as she does making videos bashing staff and other councillors, maybe she wouldn’t be asking such stupid questions at meetings and actually have an idea about the work being done by staff.
Robinson is a disgrace and should resign.
