Lulu stolen with vehicle being reunited with owner

Durham Police said a 28-year-old male is facing numerous charges after police stopped a stolen vehicle in Oshawa on Tuesday.

On August 9 at about 3:20 am, members from Central East Division became aware of a stolen vehicle in the area of Olive Avenue and Wilson Road. Officers were able to successfully follow the vehicle and have it come to a stop a short distance away. The driver was placed into custody and a Chihuahua named Lulu was located inside. Lulu was inside the vehicle when it was stolen and is in the process of being reunited with the owner, said a police statement.

The suspect from Toronto is facing numerous charges. He was released on an Undertaking. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
