The City of Pickering is working with Durham Region Transit (DRT) to assess demand for public transit access to Pickering’s waterfront.
The city is asking for residents’ feedback.
Pickering, along with Ajax charges visitors for waterfront parking. Residents, who have registered with the city, can park for free.
The city has initiated a survey to help better understand how visitors use, or how they would like to use, transit to access Pickering’s waterfront.
Pickering is experiencing significant growth and the waterfront continues to be a popular destination for many residents, businesses, and visitors. The city is committed to making the waterfront area an accessible, vibrant, and connected space for all, said a statement..
