15-year old held for stabbing at house party, released

Durham Police said a 15-year-old male has been arrested after stabbing another youth at a house party in Clarington on Sunday.

On August 7 at about 1:05 am, members of East Division responded to a residence on Scottsdale Drive for reports of an armed person. Officers arrived on scene and located a young male suffering from stabs wounds. The victim was air lifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious but stable condition, said a police statement.

A 15-year-old male was arrested a short distance away and is charged with Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon and Weapons Dangerous.

He was released on an Undertaking.

This is the second violent act at a house party in Clarington in recent months.
