Man ejected from ATV suffers life-threatening injuries

Durham Police said a 29-year-old male remains in life-threatening condition after a single-vehicle collision in Clarington.

On Saturday, December 21, at about 4:30 pm, police say were called to Station Street in Orono for a single-vehicle collision. A 29-year-old male from Orono had been operating an off-road vehicle (ATV) when he lost control and was ejected from the vehicle.

As a result of the collision, DRPS said that the male suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local area hospital by paramedics. The male what then transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre by Ornge Air where he remains with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene and investigated the circumstances of the incident. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected. This collision is still under investigation.
