Durham Police are appealing for witnesses after a late-night shooting on Thursday in Ajax.
There have been a spate of recent late night shootings in Durham. Miraculously, there have been no injuries despite bullets entering homes, and one even found under a child’s bed in Oshawa. At least 15 shots were recently fired in Cannington, even as police say shootings have gone up by 33 per cent this year (see below).
On December 19 at about 11:30 pm, members of West Division responded to the area of Wilsongary Circle and Gavin Lane for reports of gunshots.
Officers arrived on scene and located multiple shell casings in the area. One residence has been located with bullet holes.
There have been no physical injuries reported at this time, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with video footage to please contact police.
