Police looking for who fired at least 15 shots in Cannington

Durham Police yesterday said at least 15 shots were fired early Monday morning on a street in Cannington in the Township of Brock.

On Monday, December 16 at about 3 am, members of North Division responded to the area of Peace Street and Davidson Street in Cannington for an armed person.

Officers arrived on scene and were able to review video footage which captured the sound of gunshots. A series of six shots is heard, and then another nine following a brief pause, police said.

A scene has since been located and shell casings recovered. Police believe this to be an isolated incident.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with video footage to come forward to police.
