Durham Police are investigating after shots were fired at serveral houses Wednesday morning in Oshawa.
On December 18 at about 2:05 am, Officers say they responded to the area of Mary Street North and Taunton Road East after receiving a call for the sound of gunshots. Officers arrived on scene and located a number of shell casings in the area. At this time, there have been no physical injuries reported.
A large canvass was conducted and multiple residences were located that had been shot. Residents were home at the time of the shooting and the bullets entered their homes, severely compromising their safety. Of note, a bullet was located in a child’s bedroom beneath their bed. The child was not home at the time and is uninjured, say police.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with video footage to please contact police.
