Durham Police said three men are facing charges after they fled from a stolen vehicle following a collision in Clarington.
On Wednesday, December 18, at about 1:55 am, police say they responded to a collision in the area of Brown Street and King Street East. A black Honda SUV left the roadway and hit a light post.
Witnesses reported that there were three occupants in the vehicle who fled the area prior to police arrival. It was subsequently learned that the vehicle was reported stolen. Officers searched the area and located the three suspects, who were taken into custody without incident.
A 33-year-old male from Ajax and a 27-year-old male from Clarington were both charged and held for a bail hearing. A 65-year-old man from Ajax was charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
