Police asking for witnesses after overnight two-gun shooting

Durham Police are looking for witnesses after an overnight shooting from two firearms occured in Whitby this Thursday.

On December 19 at about 1:15 am, members of Central West Division responded to the area of Haverhill Crescent and Harrongate Place for an armed person. Officers said they arrived on scene and located multiple shell casings in the area. From the shell casings, officers determined at least two firearms were used.

Police said they located two residences with bullet holes. The residents were home at the time of the shooting and are uninjured.

Police are appealing to any witnesses or anyone who may have video footage, including home surveillance or dashcam, to please contact police.
