Man got caught breaking into Canadian Tire

A male is facing charges after breaking into a Canadian Tire in Oshawa on Christmas Eve.

On Tuesday, December 24, at about 5:10 am, officers of Central East Division say they responded to a break-and-enter in progress at the Canadian Tire automotive store, located at 1333 Wilson Road North.

A male suspect broke into the business and attempted to steal merchandise. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect who fled the area on foot. Officers engaged in a short foot pursuit before taking the suspect into custody.

Police say the suspect was linked to a previous break-and-enter at the same location.

A 40-year-old male from Oshawa was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
