Man held for firing shots in home, walking armed in public

A 43-year-old male has been arrested after discharging firearms in his residence in Oshawa, according to Durham Police.

On Monday, March 17 at about 3:10 am, members of Central East Division said they responded to the area of Montrave Avenue and Hillside Avenue after police received multiple calls for gunshots. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect walking on the street carrying a rifle. He was arrested without incident.

Police investigation revealed that the suspect discharged multiple rounds from firearms while inside the residence.

The male from Oshawa was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
