Man held for sexual assault of under-age females

Durham Police have charged a 59-year-old Oshawa male with sexual assault offences involving multiple victims.

The DRPS Special Victims Unit commenced an investigation in August after multiple young female victims came forward with allegations of a sexual nature against the suspect who resides in north Oshawa. The offences occurred between January and August involving under-aged females.

On Wednesday, September 7, investigators arrested and charged the suspect with: Sexual Assault x2; Sexual Interference x2 and Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Person Under 14 years of age.

He was held for a bail hearing.

Investigators want to ensure there are no further victims; a photo of the suspect is attached or can be viewed at www.drps.ca.
