Man in trauma centre after being stabbed by brother

An 18-year-old male has been arrested after stabbing his brother at a residence in Clarington on Tuesday.

On February 1 at around 11 pm, members of East Division responded to a residence in the area of Bloor Street East and Townline Road South for a disturbance. Officers located a teenaged male with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre, said a police statement.

The 18-year-old male was arrested and is charged with Weapons Dangerous and Assault with a Weapon. He was held for a bail hearing.
