Durham Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a male who is wanted in a sexual assault investigation in Whitby.
On Friday, May 27 at about 10:30 pm, members from Central West Division were called to the Real Canadian Superstore located at 200 Taunton Road West for a sexual assault that just occurred.
The victim was inside the store when she was approached by an unknown male. The male had touched her inappropriately and then fled the area, said a police statement.
The suspect is described as male, East Indian, 20’s, 6’ tall, slim build and he had an accent. He was wearing all black clothing.
