Traffic flow on Conlin Road impacted until late 2023

Durham Region yesterday announced that construction on Conlin Road in Whitby and Oshawa will be ongoing until October 2023.

The region is working to improve infrastructure and expand the water and sanitary sewer systems on the road.

Conlin Road, Conlin Road West and Thornton Road North will be closed in stages to through traffic throughout the construction work.

The construction phase is being completed collaboratively with the City of Oshawa and includes a new feedermain, watermain, sanitary and storm sewer, and road reconstruction.

Access for local traffic and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times, said a statement.

Businesses in the area will remain open throughout construction.
