Durham Police yesterday said an adult male has been shot and killed in an overnight shooting in Oshawa.
On Thursday, September 21 at around 2:25 am, members of Central East Division attended a residential address on Albert Street in Oshawa after receiving reports of an armed person.
Officers arrived on scene and located a male with gunshot wounds. The male was pronounced dead at the scene, marking Durham’s tenth homicide of 2023, said a police statement.
Multiple persons were inside the residence and fled prior to police arrival. Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have information in relation to this incident, it said.
The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and are asking for anyone with information or video footage, including dashcam and home surveillance, to please contact police.
