Which of these four should be the ‘official tree’ of Whitby?

The Town of Whitby announced it is looking to select an official tree during National Forest Week.

It is conducting a public survey to help determine which tree would be most suitable for the title.

It urged residents to take a short survey and vote from now through October 9, for the Town of Whitby’s Official Tree at ConnectWhitby.ca/OfficialTree.

The tree with the highest number of votes will become Whitby’s Official Tree and will be planted at town hall next year.

Town staff selected four trees that are found in and represent Whitby. Options include:

Honey Locust Tree
Honey Locust
Tamarack Tree
Tamarack
Tulip Tree
Tulip
Kentucky Coffee Tree
Kentucky Coffee
