New all-way stop coming to Uxbridge intersection

The Regional Municipality of Durham announced it  is implementing a new all-way stop at the intersection of Sandford Road (Regional Road 11) and Herald Road and York Durham Line (Regional Road 30) in the Township of Uxbridge.

Where: At the intersection of Sandford Road/Herald Road and York Durham Line in Uxbridge.

When: July 25. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Why: To improve road safety.

Note: The new all-way stop will require all drivers in each direction to stop their vehicle before entering the intersection and yield the right-of-way to the first vehicle or other road user to come to a complete stop. This enhancement will improve safety by providing a controlled crossing for all road users.
