Clarington Municipality said based on overwhelming feedback, the design of the proposed Newcastle skatepark has been updated from a modular design to a concrete, cast-in-place skatepark.
Clarington is building a new Community Park in Newcastle in 2021. The park will be located on the west side of Diane Hamre Recreation Complex.
The municipality is continuing to seek need public input on the design of the new concrete, cast-in-place skatepark that will be included in the park development.
