Residents uninjured after bullets pockmark Whitby home

Durham police are investigating after gunshots were fired at a Whitby home early Monday morning.

On August 25, around 2:45 am, officers from DRPS responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the area of Victoria Street West and Halls Road South. When officers arrived, they found several shell casings and bullet holes in a residence.

Residents were home at the time of the shooting, but police say no injuries were reported. Investigators believe the incident was isolated.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or who has video footage—including dashcam recordings—from the area of Victoria Street West between Lake Ridge Road and Jeffery Street between 2:15 am and 2:45 am to come forward.
