No licence, expired insurance and plate… and speeding

Some Durham drivers must be very rich and may not worry about being fined, just careless or plain defiant of the law.

A driver nabbed in Pickering by DRPS Traffic Services, may have been any one of the three above – or even all three – considering the violation.

“Who’s thinking 80/60? Big deal!” said the police reasonably.

But it turns out that the driver was unlicenced, the plate was expired and had an insurance card from 2021.

“If a collision occurred, would the insurance company cover the collision? Check your documents and insure they’re valid!” advised the police.
