Video on while driving with no papers or insurance…

DRPS Traffic Services must be a jaded lot by now, but their officers still seem to be amazed by what they see and hear on the roads – amazed enough to point it out.

The latest was a driver who was stopped on Brock Road and Rossland Road in the City of Pickering.

“When you’re stopped for speeding but you still have your videos playing on your cell phone… Oh, and you don’t have your ownership and insurance. Charges laid,” said Durham Police.

Units of Durham Police were out in force ensuring safe roads, especially during the morning as schools in Durham reopen.

DRPS Traffic Services said from the Town of Ajax that officers could be found at many different schools [yesterday] morning! Slow down through the school zones.

North Division said as students return to school, North Division Officers are on patrol ‘in the zone’, enforcing school zone safety.

This driver (below) was caught speeding 91kmh in a 50-community safety zone in Scugog, they said.
