Two men and a woman rob bank in Bowmanville

Durham Police investigators are looking for three suspects after a bank was robbed on Monday morning in Bowmanville.

On January 9 at about 9:15 am, members of East Division were dispatched to the TD Canada Trust bank on Longworth Avenue for a robbery. Two male suspects entered the bank, passed a note and made a demand for cash while a third suspect, a female held the door. The suspects fled northbound on foot with an undisclosed amount of currency. Police searched the area with negative results, said a police statement.

It said there were no physical injuries to any employees.

The suspects are described as two males, one female, with small builds, early 20’s, the two males wore dark-hooded sweaters and the female had a black winter jacket with a fur collar.

Police has also reported two other robberies on Sunday and Monday in Oshawa and Pickering respectively, where pharmacies were robbed by two men and a woman.
