No one in Durham hospitals with covid infection

Durham Health yesterday posted eight new Covid-19 cases for July 17, taking the region’s tally to 25,310 since the count began on February 29, 2020.

Durham’s overall death toll stands at 374, with 218 of them occurring in LTCs.

Recoveries stand at 24,899. However, there are 37 active covid cases. No one is hospitalized with none in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). All 37 people are in home isolation.

Durham Health reported the highest number of covid cases so far in Ajax.

Covid Deaths: 374

Of the 117 reported deaths in Pickering, 87 were in LTC
Of the 67 reported deaths in Ajax, 33 were in LTC
Of the 59 reported deaths in Whitby, 30 in LTC
Of the 62 reported deaths in Oshawa, 34 were in LTC
23 deaths were reported in Clarington [none in LTC]
26 deaths were reported in Uxbridge, 20 in LTC
17 deaths have been reported in Scugog, 14 in LTC
3 deaths have been reported in Brock

  1. Not true. I know of at least one active case in ICU and several long COVID (no longer infectious but still recovering from the disabling effects of COVID).
