Plans are underway for the Scugog Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony scheduled for April 20, 2023, said a statement from the organizers.
They said as always, the hall will need sponsors to make this event extraordinary for all inductees and the community. ‘We expect the event to surpass the success of the 2022 event”.
Nominations are under review and the selection committee expects to announce the 2023 inductees by early January.
The Scugog Arena Pad 2 hall exhibit has been updated and is now open for viewing. The theme this season is celebrating the histories of Jr C Hockey in Port Perry (Flamingos, Mojacks and Lumberjacks), minor hockey in Scugog and past and present winter sports of Scugog. Each of the cases display some of the many artifacts that make up the collection.
Gary Hill Auctions will be hosting an online auction in November to raise funds to support the Scugog Sports Hall of Fame.
