Officers manage to revive unresponsive overdosed man

In the second reported case this month of drug overdose revival, Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers were able – once again – to save a life.

“This is an example of the great work being done by our members,” said a tweet from DRPS Central East Division.

DRPS too commended the great work by members of Central East Division in their quick actions in administering Narcan.

On Friday June 13, officers responded to the area of Oshawa Boulevard North and Colborne Stree East in Oshawa for a male overdosed on fentanyl.

Officers arrived on the scene and commenced life saving measures on the male who was unresponsive. They administered Narcan, said a police statement.

The man revived, and was taken to a local area hospital for treatment, where he is expected to make a full recovery, it added.
